Global Governance and Planetary Boundaries
Wednesday 9th of May 2012, 15.30-17.00, lecture hall D8, Stockholm UniversityExploring the new challenges for global environmental governance. UF Stockholm, with support from Folke Bernadotte Academy invites you to a seminar on this highly current topic, with guest speakers Victor Galaz, research theme leader at the Stockholm Resilience Centre on topics related to governance, complexity and planetary boundaries, and Sarah Cornell, coordinator of the planetary boundaries research initiative at the Stockholm Resilience Center. Sandwiches and coffee will be served from 15.00.

Dreaming of a job in the UN?
May 10th, 3:30 PM, Hall A2, Stockholm UniversityStockholm Association of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for Foregin Affairs gives you a unique opportunity to participate in a lecture where experts from the different UN organizations gives information on how to get a job in the UN as well as how to overcome the obstacles present in international job seeking. Representatives from the UN secretariat, UNICEF and UNWomen visits Sweden on May 10th to inform about career possibilities in their organizations.

The Global Teach-In
Wednesday 25th of April 2012 from 16.00, lecture hall C6, Stockholm University
The Stockholm Association of International Affairs welcomes you to The Global Teach-In will take place simultaneously in seven countries and more than 15 cities. This interactive and participatory event will include discussions by experts, grassroots activists and citizens at large concerned about developing solutions to policy problems and creating alternative institutions. The Teach-In will involve face-to-face deliberation, teleconferencing and an internet-based broadcasting network. Local teach-in groups already exist or are in formation. Participate by organizing a teach-in, joining a local group or listening to the broadcast.

Take the opportunity to listen to an analysis of the Russian election, Putin’s future policies and gain an insight into culture and cultural practitioners roles in politics. Welcome!
Free admission for UF’s members. Others pay 20 kr at the door Membership costs 50 kr for one year and can be arranged on site.
