UFS representative
Do you want to work with UF on the national level? Then you might be interested in being our UFS (Swedish Association of International Affairs) representative. You will act as the link between UF Stockholm and UFS and be UF Stockholm’s voice during UFS board meetings.UFS organizes six board meetings every year, each taking place at one of the local associations around the country. Travel costs will be paid for by UFS. Your area of responsibility within the board is decided during the first board meeting. Much of the work is coordinated online, by using the UFS forum, where you are expected to participate in discussions every week. In order to keep up to date with UF Stockholm’s work you will also need to attend our board meetings. The role will also include any administrative work that might need to be dealt with for UF Stockholm.
The cooperation between UFS and UF Stockholm depends on the commitment of the SAIA representative. As our representative you need to possess good communication skills and an interest in strategic decision making is desirable since UFS is a fairly new organization that is in the process of working out guidelines for the future.
The UFS board (which means our representative) will be appointed during this year’s board election meeting in Lund, on May 22, 2011.
